I'm only copying Garretts post,as he's not here all that much, but figured some of you guys would be interested.
He's got pics of it over on hi-po rams on facebook if anybody wants to see what it looks like installed.

Haven't seen anyone do this so I went ahead and gave it a shot. The Ram SSV uses a 90 degree oil filter adapter, p/n 4893315AC. No issues with fitment, not that I expected any.
Oil filter accessibility is a lot better than stock. I previously had the Pacbrake kit and wasn't a big fan. We'll see come the first oil change how well it works.

Unless I'm missing something, looks like the standard 6.4L filter position and orientation. So just putting that on a 5.7?

Rick that's what's on my 2500 6.4 Hemi.

See how close the filter can is to the molded lower radiator hose? It's a multi junction hose too. The oversized canisters of RP 20-820 and Fram XG FE 2 won't fit mine.
I did notice Brian,i'd probably move the protector sleeve on the hose up so it's in line with the filter,or come up with something like this sleeve to protect the hose.Another option might even be to use a few wraps of hockey tape on the hose.

That's what it is.

Ah. My PW has a slick little piece under it that acts like a funnel to catch the oil and drain it away from the front axle to avoid making a mess when you loosen the filter. No idea if it could be adapted to the 1500 but it's much less messy than changing the filter with it. Getting the filter out of my old (my son's current) 2012 Express always adds some "rust prevention" to the front axle.

I actually joined that fb group because of that adapter to ask him some questions. One i did ask is if that filter was the oversized one and he said that it was

He said it is a 4th gen adapter so he wasn't sure it would fit a 5th gen truck. If I can find it cheap enough online I'll order it to try it on my 5th gen. I called my dealer and didn't get into specifics with him because I know he would've told me what the computer tells him but he did tell me it was available to order for $390. I won't pay that much for something I can't return but I'll shop around for a deal somewhere

If you know anybody,or have a neighbour with a 6.4 truck,it might be worthwhile looking it over, and using a tape measure to see if it'll actually fit a 5th Gen,before buying it.I'd hazard a guess it should also fit a 5th Gen,but i'd also do some checking first before buying it,lol.I'd even check one that's sitting on a dealers lot,if you don't have a neighbour or buddy that owns a 2500.

The oilpans are the same between the 5.7 and 6.4,so it makes a good referance point to measure off,if you're doing any measuring, but odds are just a good look over will determine if it'll fit

Yeah obvious things like front differential and steering rack are my main concern
