Stalling during heavy rain fall.

I have a 02 Ram 1500 SLT and whenever there is a large amount of water my truck feels like its going to stall and the engine light begins to flash. There are no codes and the engine bay is dry. It happens when im in a car wash or driving down the road. Anybody know whats going on or how to fix it. thanks for the help.

I would suggest checking your distributor cap and coil. I bet on of them is cracked. An easy way to accomplish this is to start the truck and let it get warm. Then spray some water, first on the coil. If it doesn't stall the engine, then spray some water on the cap. Use a water hose with some pressure.

Also, check each plug wire and make sure they are not broken. Check for moisture in the plug boots.
