Hey guys so my battle with my ram continues no contact from the dealership today, I also forgot to mention along with the wires falling out from behind the dash when the auto lights come on when it gets dark out, my dash goes completely black so dark you cant even read any of the displays and you cannont at this point adjust the brightness of the display i have to pull over turn off the truck and restart it. Seems like a major safety hazard. Also my ac when set to max only has about half power then after 15 minutes of driving all of a sudden the fans just about rip the eyeballs out of your head sounds like a jet talking off inside the truck I have no idea what is up with this vehicle, I offered for the delear to buy it back from me today, just waiting on his numbers to see how much im gonna have to eat probably 15k. So 3500 km on this vehicle, purchases july 31st 2018
things wrong
1. Engine sounds like its comming apart at startup for 8-15 seconds
2. rear brakes and rear end grind and scream when shifter from park to drive
3. large bundle of wires falling down from under sterring wheel
4. Ac dosent work properly
5. interior lights shut off completely when night lights on outside turn on.
6. Dosent have premium audio or comfort package as dealer stated.

The reason i started the case is i was looking for a loaner vehicle to get to work the dealership will not help me with anything. Been walking the last 3 days as its only 7km away from where I live but i start at 5:00 am so its made for some really early mornings

So my 18 ram has a lot of paint issues from factory which has recently been approved by FCA Canada to get repaired and my dealership is fully on board with providing me with a vehicle for the week it is in for repairs

Can you try a different dealer?

Have you shown them these issues ? Seems like it should all be covered under warranty.

For the interior lights shutting off, I’m assuming you don’t have it set to the highest brightness setting?

For the grinding noise. Does the noise happen when putting into gear or releasing the brakes?

The bundle of wires shouldn’t even be an issue, have the dealer re-secure them.

All of these seem like issues that could be easily fixed.

he stated that he has tried adjusting the brightness level and that doesn't work as far as the back lighting concern goes.

OP - I'm in the same boat. I'm one of the members going through a lemon law claim with my 18 Ram. I don't have any of the issues you have though - my heated seats just don't stay on. Good luck. Keep on them about fixing it or keep on them about trading you into a different truck.
