Straight up sales/marketing gimmick.
Can't really blame em for trying. No harm no foul... Unless someone falls for it, goes to the dealer...gets pennies for their trade and full popped on their new vehicle... At the end of the day.. Who can they blame?

My dealer has been wanting their 14 sport back for the last 3 yrs, but the dumb buggers seem to want money for the one that I would take to replace the one they need for Joe down the street. I can't figure that out.

Yeah its called sale hype bull. like you really think they want your truck,I don't think so.

I get them all the time, for my 2014 Patriot.

At one point they were emailing & phoning 3-4 times a week.

I finally told them to quit harassing me, I'm not selling it or trading it in.

All they want you to do is trade it in so you can buy something off their lot and spend more of your hard earned money...unless you're independently wealthy and have money to burn.

Respond back saying you got in touch with Brian but he doesn’t want to sell. However, he said everything’s negotiable and to make an offer. See how long you can keep it going....
