Strange thing when drivers door in closed

First thanks for having me. Have a 98 150o 4 x4 and this just started. Went out to the truck the other day and all the warning light were flashing along with the gas gage bouncing. Open the drivers door and it stops, can start it up but if the door is closed will not turn off with the key. Open the door and it turns off with the key. Any ideas

Bad ground definitely.
I’d start with a body ground close to the door and the frame. Then check the ones under the hood. Body to engine. So on n so on.
