That sucks, they tell you are to get another complete trans and then tear down again. Look into local lemon law regardless of outcome at this point. Truck down time or number of attempts come into play. In my state a truck down for 30 days is automatic win, or 4 attempts.

looks like your state requires 30 business days, if that happens hire a lemon lawyer, they are free, take a part of winnings.

What constitutes a "reasonable number of attempts"

• • The manufacturer has made at least four attempts to fix the same problem.
    
  • OR, the vehicle has been out of service for repairs for a total of 30 or more business days

Had the truck too long for the lemon law thing. Anyone know if there are any allison transmission issues happening? Been looking at a new Silverado HD.

Those 10 speeds are not real Allison transmissions and yes they also have some problems, a lot more then yours, worse for Ford an there idea of an Allison 10 speed transmission.... I am starting to think the dealership mechanic is a big part of the problem your having...

Got my truck today. Seems like it shifts better, but cant tow my RV due to the weather to make sure. Failed pressure test on 2c piston in the tranny, found a broken snap ring? Apparently this part was a known issue, but this older version of this part was installed in the reman anyway? And as usual they didnt top off the fluid in my transfer case. Its winter here now so I most likely wont drive it much till the melt.

To the best of my knowledge the the 68ref has never had a snap ring problem, the snap ring problem was only in the Aisin transmissions...

After all this, and not topping off t case fluids as cherry on top, I would find another dealer to service your truck. Some just aren’t run well, usually the ones where the service department has a micromanaging numbers guy that has all the booksmarts and no common sense
