Strut Mount Plate

Hey guys,

Been told by the dealer that I have a bad front strut mount plate. According to Dodge, these are over $60 a piece. I see KYB offers a mount KIT for under $30. They claim it matches or exceeds OEM. Has anyone used this part or purchased from a different manuf. These are going on an 06 Ram 1500 Hemi. Plan on installing these on both fronts and then installing Bilstien E5100 all around. I think the KYB part no. is SM5531. Thanks

Got an 08 1500 and I bought my truck used. After driving for a couple weeks I started hearing a noise out of the passenger side. Had mechanics ride with me and they swore it was the rear suspension. Ended up being the front strut mount. I had them upgrade my shocks to Bilstein 5100 set to highest and replace the strut mounts while they where in there. Believe I used monroe mounts from advance auto.

Had them on for over a year and no complaints, also fixed my problem.

KYB probably makes them for many oem anyway so just do it it will work fine. Mopar is probably not making their own just putting their name on it.
