I'm pretty happy with my truck the way it is. Although a tailgate step would be nice & I do wish it had more powerpoints. 2 is just not enough & frnakly a little cheap imo. One on the dash, on the opposite of the inverter would be great.

Locking gas cap and an EZ-down for the tailgate should come factory.

1) locking gas cap
2) folding power towing mirrors
3) selectable locker in the front, LS in the rear
4) onboard air / tire inflation system, but as little as most would use it, a small electric compressor would be fine so you're not spinning a belt driven one all the time
5) power steps

Hmmm.... how about what chevy /ford has....steps in the bumpers or those steps that kick out from the bumpers.

I'm also thinking some kind of bed ramp that you can just pull out from the tail gate. I know it wouldn't be that long (tailgate is only about 2 feet wide), but you can have a bunch of them linked together to form a larger ramp.

I would love to see the in bumper steps like what chev has.

Would love the power tow mirrors as well. Not just folding but power rotation up and down as well.

Built in compressor/radar cruise/inverters are in big rigs..The radar cruise thing if memory is right was based on the f18 fighter jets radar...Had that in one of my trucks in the late 90's and it was actually cool..
Im not one for alot of automation cause it makes for a bad/lazy driver..
Me personally i would like chy/dodge to offer a big sport tour/performance package that doesnt affect warranty. An inverter that can power more than a electric tooth pick..Ability to change interior light color and a led/hid light package for inside and out..
For the guy who wanted the stripper pole, get a matt finished one and remember to wipe off over spray of lube after you give the lowering hinge a squirt..

1. On board air is easy. Drain A/C system, plumb hoses from the A/C pump to an air tank out back or under the truck. You won't have A/C but you'll have on board air.
2. Would love steps built into the bumpers.
3. You ready for this????...... RAM 1500 POWER WAGON!!!!

All around cameras like BMW/Infiniti cars. Really helps when parking or getting around tight places. Blind spot sensors and cruise control sensor (that brakes when you get close).
One thing that I wish Ram would do now is include standard park assist with NAV and rear camera. While shopping for my truck I would see trucks with either or but rarely with both. Another thing that blows me away is NAV ready. It's cheaper to get premium NAV on these trucks. Anyway, things are getting better and should rival luxury cars (they already cost as much)

A true manual transmission option at every trim level would be nice, but I know I'm in the minority on that one.

How about an option at every trim level to not have the center console? I love my truck, but I really hate that console eating up all the leg room.

My Alpine factory system is pretty good. But than again I don't bump the hippity hop. I'm usually jammin out to metal or country.

It would depend on what you are comparing it to. Compared to a 4-speaker Ford system, yes, it sounds much better. Compared to a Lincoln THXII system, it sounds horrible. Compared to a decent aftermarket system, it's also bad. With the Alpine name, it should be much better (not that Alpine is top-line, but they are respected in some of their products). It's worse than the lowest aftermarket Alpine line.

Oh yeah -- I forgot about a front camera. That would be great when pulling into my tight garage or parking garages.

I also miss Blind Spot Information System.

For those with rear cameras..... (I have an after market one) does yours show up on the center dash?

Personally I would like to see that little camera pop up on the rear view mirror instead on the center dash. Sucks looking up and down when backing up.

Mine is viewed on the NAV screen, I too prefer it shown on the mirror. My last truck (F250) had that with park assist.

How about making the "standard short bed" standard again at 6' not making that just a luxury.
