I'm currently running 2 Pioneer 12s in a mdf box under the seats with a fosgate 500 amp. Obviously there is little room and this setup sounds like ****. Any suggestions? My subs are basically just rattling because of limited space. Looking for experienced answers. If more info on subs and box is needed I can provide but I'm mostly looking for a general answer. Basically a sub that is perfectly designed for that kind of space is what I'm needing because the space won't get any bigger unfortunately.

How much airspace are you working with? Ummm off the top of my head if its tight space and im talking likr.5 of a cube you would be looking at shallow mount subs. JL audio,Sundown audio, Skar audio, Pioneer, heck it goes on and on. What kind of sound are you looking for and again biggest question is how much air space you have.

It depends on what you are looking for... stupid loud bass or just the fill!? I ran 2 JL Audio W0's in my 07 in a prefab under the seat box. They sounded good and did a nice job. This time around, with the 13, I had my buddies at Precision Cellular & Sound in Stevens Point, WI build a fiberglass/wood enclosure to house JL's new 12" TW3's. They're flat subs, which work great in such a small space. They sound great! I like em!

Thanks for the responses guys. Not sure about space in the box and I'm not going to measure it. The box is most likely 3 3/4 of cube? I'm a hip hop bass guy so I like the sound loud with a nice feel it in your stomach not in your ears bass the current sub's I have must NOT be shallow mount so maybe that's my problem. Appreciate the help guys I will just have to keep looking.

If you do have L7's in that small of a box, yes, do RT's

Question,
How are you supposed to find a subwoofer that "is perfectly designed for that kind of space" when you do not know how much space you have, and are unwilling to find out?
Regardless,
Best of luck!

This. Do your homework before dumping equipment into an application as specific as under the rear seat of a pickup.

Point taken. you sound like my dad and trust me that's no diss my dad is a genius. Realistically though guys this is a generic mdf probably china made box with the middle part hollow and I raised the back seats maybe an 1-1.5 inches to fit them so it's slightly bigger than the cheapest mdf box on ebay for 12s. Air space is not much different than what everybody else has but I'm open to getting the exact dimensions so where should I start. Googling it now. Thanks for the advice fellas.
