finally thinking about getting the 3865 with the trans tuning.
ive never used or even seen a tuner.
1: are they easy to use to someone who never tuned a car before?
2: does it have to be plugged into the car for me to mess around with it?
3: is it hard to program the shift points?
4: can it be used on multiple cars? (i.e my charger and my truck at the same time)
5: do RF members get any kind of discount?
anyother information would be appreciated.
thank you
Nick

I picked up the Superchips Cortex and I love this thing..
I have been playing around with it over the last 2 weeks changing shift points rev limits but have not gone into the trans tune yet.. I want to get use to this thing and how it works before I get into all that.

There are a few members that have been coaching me through my questions and stuff so it's been making it easy to mess with this thing.

1 Yes, there are presets on there that you can plug it in and put it in preformance 91 octain or higher, Towing, Gas saver, 87 octain.. so I just went and tried these all out before I went into the advance tuning and started messing with WOT shifting and stuff.
2. Yes. but you can not have the car running while tuning. It has you cycle the key several times to the on and off position.
3.Not hard at all you just play around until you like a setting that you like.
4. Someone told me you could for a fee???
5. Dont think so.

Hope this helps

We don't have the opportunity to tune multiple vehicles at the same time with one programmer because the files Chrysler uses are enormous and it would take up memory in the product that would limit tuning options and vehicle coverage.

No problem dude, Yeah some guy told me that for like 80 bucks you could add another car on their but I didn't think that was right.. (as Scott said)

You can feel the extra umphh with this thing for sure.. from 4500rpm and up it starts really pulling hard and you can really feel that HEMI putting in work lol.

Good luck with it bud!
