I am thinking about supercharging my ram and I'm curious, how many of you guys have done this? What style/ brand did you use? And what other mods have you done? What kind of numbers are you running now? How much power can you get out of an otherwise stock 5.7 and it still be reliable.

I will also be doing a custom exhaust system and headers. Any input on this is greatly appreciated

Procharger kits arent bad. Turbo kit is better, more power on less boost = longer engine life. Not to mention the fuel mileage! I recently put down 428hp and 550fptq on 5.5psi at 8 psi I should be around the 525hp and 630fptq to the wheels, but ill have to wait till spring for that :)

I'm currently running a F-1A Procharger on a cog driven kit I built on a forged 349 rotating assembly. My kit makes 17psi and the estimates are between 650-700rwhp; I haven't had it on a dyno since the initial WOT tuning when I first got the truck on the road with the new engine.

I have been through a P1SC at 6psi, a D1SC at 8psi and 12psi, and now the F-1A, all on the same 349 block. The P1SC made 430rwhp, the 8psi D1SC made 490rwhp, the 12psi D1SC made 560rwhp but had bad belt slipping issues over 6000rpm.

For a stock rotating assembly, don't go over 8psi unless you either tune for water/**** injection and run it 100% of the time or open up the upper piston ring so it doesn't overheat, close, and pop the upper ring land. The stock VVT cam does well with boost but an aftermarket boost cam will make a big difference in power, my cam picked up another 40hp over the stock grind with the D1SC at 12psi. Unless you change the cam the stock springs are fine up to 12psi but anything higher needs a higher valve pressure.
