I'm having a little problem with my 3865 flashpaq.. I had sent it in for repairs a few weeks ago. They directional pads were causing the tuner to randomly crash and restart. Well it seems that they just sent me a replacement one. Now here is the real problem. The replacement tuner needed updating so i did all that good stuff. Then i tuned my truck the way i like it. I then went back to my laptop to redownload the Advanced Transmission Tune that i had purchased previously for the first tuner. I then see its going to cost me another 40 bucks!! WTF... I thought this upgrade was vin specific? Do i really have to pay for it again just because i had to have my tuner repaired and they just sent me a different one?? Anybody have any suggestions or an answer that would ease my mind on this.

call in to SC customer care tomorrow morning, they'll have record of the issue and should be able to transfer your purchase to your new tuner. Have it with you, they will need the serial number.

I called in friday and they got me hooked up. All i had to do is update the tuner and i was back in business.

also my dad has an 07 Dodge Dakota v6 4x4, is there an SC product that i can use on both trucks at the same time?

Not to steel Scotts thunder but got 2 cents.....Marx IMo the 05 is the best year Non MDS Truck for tuning Options and I would say you have a wide area of choice man, I like my 3865 and yours would be able to use the new Trans tunes (unlike myself) but perhaps you should look into the Trinity set-up!

Tuner choice is a big decision but if you purchase buy direct from these Guys cause in Canada at an authorized dealer your lookin at $500 Bucks!

I don't know of any additional features aside from TPMS that was released after the trans tuning option.

More than likely this update you received was a database update adding some new calibrations to the programmer for those that may have either received a new dealer update while in service or for 2009-10 applications coming in we missed on the initial release.

Sorry, tire pressure monitoring system.

For those equipped with that feature we offer a street legal tune allowing a reduction of pressure down to the legal limit of 26 PSI without that annoying light and ding. We also offer an offroad only option that allows for the TPMS segment in the PCM to be set to zero for swapping out stock rims and tires for those not equipped with sensors.

This feature was originally designed for our Jeep product line but we realized later that there was also a need for it in the Dodge truck line as well so it was integrated in through internet update.
