I got a Superchips 3715 on mine and love it, definitely made a difference. I got mine for $60 off ebay, you can find them listed fairly often on there though going rate is usually higher around $100-$125

SC for folks that only want a little power or don't have much to spend are good.

For more performance, SCT tuned by Flyin' Ryan.

This might sound like a silly question. How is it installed? Are they good for stock trucks? Will it help with towing and/or mpg? I have a 5.2 and plan on installing flowmaster 40 but other than that it is stock.

I've been told by other guys on here that it really tear up your trans if it is stock...

I just got done putting in a $2800 remanufactured trans(dodge weak points fixed like valve body, shift kit etc) and I am thinking twice about a tuner because trans are damn expensive to fix!

If you're not worried about your trans, go for it :)

A tuner won't tear up a trans. In most cases they actually help them with better power distribution

Literally the easiest thing to install ever. Take it out of the box, plug it into your obd2 port, follow prompts on screen, good to go.

Sorry I didn't explain myself better! I meant that the added torque and hp makes the driver wanna drive the truck harder and sometimes race which is not ideal for the trans.

If you take it easy, I would think you shouldn't have any issues with trans. Listen to dude94, he knows much more than me!

+1 to that. My superchips helped my trans run smoother and shift firmer especially with the 91 tune. That's all i use on it. I drive it harder than most too. Starting to have trans issues but that's because it's completely stock and has 80-85k on it. Getting it fixed add soon as my new pan comes in.

I love my superchips but if you can afford it I'd suggest going with sct and Ryan. When i upgraded to my m1 manifold i lost a little low end torque and superchips didn't compensate very well for it
