I avoided Dodge Ram trucks for years because of the poor design of the auto transmission of the Gen 2 and 3 and the poor quality and fuel mileage of the 5.2L and 5.9L Magnum motors. I’ve owned a shit ton of other brand trucks over the years and am surprised how far Ram has come along.

Now I am surprisingly back in a Ram truck, this time for the long term. This Hemi 5.7L mated to the 8speed trans and the quality of the interior sold me on this truck. The truck always seems to be right in the torque band. It cruises well at 75-80. The interior is far superior to the Chevy, Ford, and Toyota trucks I have owned. The large navigation/entertainment screen is a huge plus. I’m impressed with all that the midnight/Bighorn package offers for the price.

It still needs some things: Leveling kit, 35” all terrains, hard locking tonneau, some Katskinz, and some interior bed lighting. 0D41C3FA-AC00-470C-B975-2EA74831A3F1.jpeg

Congrats on new ride. One of many options ref tonneau. I just happen to have full size cover on mine.

Katzkin leather seat covers. They are designed to replace cloth seat coverings
Interesting. I actually went with the BigHorn "because" of the cloth seating. I can't stand leather in my truck, I much prefer the feel of the cloth.
