I doubt it has any relation to the RAM 3.6, but I notice Porsche has one too. With multinational companies sourcing components globally, I had to wonder...
The Pentastar is reliable, unlike the Porshe 3.6L.

Uh Porsche is consistently ranked as one of the most reliable auto companies every year, even above Lexus and Toyota

Wondering if they had been sourcing part’s from the 3.6 FCA bin? And Pentastar what's the deal with that? It’s just the old Chrysler logo from the 60’s on all their product’s.
Yeah, I was being a smart ass, I know the the name behind it but why not name all their engine’s Pentastar? That’s the name/series of the 3.6L. It’s the Chrysler Pentastar 3.6L V6. And possibly with sourcing out parts, that could be why they’re reliable if what the other person said is true.

Chevy, ford, Toyota, Subaru, and many others all make a 3.6 as well... been a while for ford, but they've existed. I'm sure there's more that I can't think of off the top of my head.
Great question, I think their turbo v6 was a 3.5 eco boost? But I'm not 100% positive. Not much of a ford guy lol... I imagine the Taurus probably shared the engine too
