Instead of infotainment.com, you could also try carplaynav.com. They’re a Canadian company with a lot of options for factory upgrades, similar to infotainment, but their prices are usually somewhat lower. Their install info also is not as detailed but that’s not a big deal when you can find it on other sites. I have upgraded my 2014 from the 3” radio you have to the 5” RA2 touchscreen unit and added a backup camera. The original items came from infotainment but when the radio stopped working after about 6 years, I replaced it with a unit from carplaynav that was about 20% cheaper.

Both sites will ask for your VIN to make sure the unit is compatible. Good luck on your search.

Actually - Several folks on here have been upgrading OEM to OEM. In fact, this one would probably work if it's still available. It's the same one as in one of your earlier pics. I thought you had already installed one like it and it was working fine?

That's the unit that I installed as an upgrade to my 2014 Express so I'm thinking it should work in the 2013 that the OP has.

No, I hadn’t tried it. From what it sounded like it was going to be a major deal to put a different radio in my ‘13. It If there is a way that I can upgrade enough to have a b/u camera, I’m all ears!

Are you talking about the RA2 camera will work with a back up camera? Does it have to be an OEM camera or will an aftermarket camera work (hopefully since that’s what I have). Is there a particular PN for the radio I need to look for?

Yes - the RA2 will support the backup camera, and the radio that @diymirage has for sale is a good price. An aftermarket will work, read through the thread I posted above, it tells you how it was hooked up.

What years were you at Shady J? I was there from '76 - '80, crew chief on F4Es, still remember my planes tail #'s, 72-1489 and 74-1040. LOL

LOL - small world, I was Blue also. you might remember my log book, 74-1040 was Cinnamon Girl, I drew a "provocative" pic on the cover. Got many of compliments on it, till our new staff sgt made me take it off. It did last almost a year though.
