Does the 2015 1500 w/ towing package come with a sway bar or is that something you'd add on later? I'm curious as to what is equipped on my new truck and what I can do to inexpensively give myself a bit of an improvement in towing a larger travel trailer on top of the anti-swap hitch system I have.

It will have a sway bar but Hellwig makes a much better sway bar for it.

Might look at some good airbags or new rear springs.

What 69GWC said. The Hellwig sway bar is better. It is a solid metal sway bar, from what I understand the factory rear sway bar is hollow. That and the Hellwig has three different positions where you can attach the end links to firm up the ride.

Air assist springs are also a big help when towing also. Timber Grove ASAMs are quality.

I have the Equalizer E4 hitch setup. It has the built-in sway control. I can tell a big difference from the Pro series weight distribution hitch and sway control setup that I used before that.

Hellwig rear sway bar will help a lot. As would the addition of air bags or helper bags, like the Air Lift 1000 kit.

A good set of 6-8 ply tires will go a long way towards stability as well.

I have an Air Lift 1000 setup on mine along with the Equalizer IMG_0144.jpgc42e6b763c94ea9e8cfe2d213401c8c9.jpgE4 hitch with built-in sway control on my 2014 Ram 1500. And the factory brake control system. I pull 30ft. travel trailer that is 6950lbs.

Since I am new to towing, I took the advice of an experienced person and got a solid bar 4point hitch which helps sway.

Does the Hellwig bar stiffen the body roll?

It's superior to the stock bar.

I made the mistake of adding a stiffer rear sway bar in the rear of a Grand Cherokee WJ for towing only to find out later that with an Equal-i-zer brand hitch the sway bar adds nothing. I know this because My WJ had JKS sway bar disconnects front and rear. Once after some offroading with the sway bars disconnected on both ends I wanted to move the trailer to a different area. I forgot about the sway bars being disconnected hitched up the trailer and drove about 100 miles before I remembered. Actually with the Equal-i-zer hitch connected you couldn't tell because the two spring bars on the Equal-i-zer stabilize side to side motion so well the Jeep couldn't rock side to side if it wanted to.

I also found out that adding a stiffer rear sway bar without adding a matching stiffer front sway bar increases oversteer on slippery surfaces. I finally removed it for that reason, the factory knew what they were doing when they sized the sway bar balance.
