I need switched power for a video screen rearview mirror.

Any ideas on where i could grab? Still running factory headunit, so can't grab there.

Anywhere on the inside fuse panel? or?

Also, i need to find somewhere to bring the video feed in from the rear of the truck. Any ideas on somewhere i can poke through with a rca line?

The keyed power outlet works for switched power and I would go through the plastic clutch plate and run it under the truck.

I tapped into the power feed for the switched accessory plug. It's easy to get to and can certainly handle the load from a rear view camera system. Its easy to remove the A pillar cover and you can feed the wire up to the mirror. The accessory plug is no affected by the CANBUS. You may want to add a switch so that you can control it too.

I have a RCSB and found a set of RCA cables on Amazon that were 25' long. I used one for the video feed and used the other one to feed 12 volt power to my license plate camera. I ran it along the frame tying it up with tie-wraps every 12" on the existing harness that ran the length of the truck. I was able to punch a small hole in the rubber grommet on the firewall. A little silicon sealant took care of sealing things up.

I am running my system all the time rather than just when I'm in reverse. It has survived two Wisconsin winters and still functions like new.

Good luck with your install.
