Makes you wonder if redline has more PEA or maybe some of their proprietary stuff is at play. Cant wait to see corey's results.

whats the cost and the ounces?

Depends. The 6 pack of gummout makes it .71 cents per oz.

Couldn’t find a six pack of Redline but a 12 pack comes out to .61cents an oz.

AMAZON PRICES[emoji3595]

If the Gummout works, then the only benefit over Redline: is if you’re walking through the store you can grab a bottle.

I wasn’t trying to say the stuff is a good replacement to redline S1. I was just putting the information out there.

Whatever works and then whatever is cheapest, is how I roll. One thing I like about the gumouts is the size, it's 1/2 the size of si-1, so basically one per tank, I like that a lot.

It does make it more convenient for maintenance IMO but for a good cleanup I have used two of them per tank without the issues that Corey had. That is still only 12oz. One bottle of redline is 15oz.

But we don’t know if Coreys issues were related to having to much S1 in the tank or just bad gas as you said.

LMAO, oem mopar fluid costs more then redline or amsoil, and if you see the paper out there is one of the worst fluids you can put in there. But hey, I don't judge, run that stuff with confidence if that is where your research takes you, what do I care it aint my truck. For a truck that doesn't see extremes, m1 or valvoline make decent gear oils way cheaper and better then oem. I am pretty sure Mopar fluids actually stands for cheap rebranded race to the bottom products. Maybe that has changed with the Pennzoil relationship, dunno, but Pennzoil has never been known for good diff fluid either.

Definitely a believer in better oils in the stock cover. I put redline in both of my diffs. Never changed the Tcase though. I have a Ford now and it suggests I replace fluids at 150k...
does anyone know the quality of the stock motorcraft fluids ?

T case is super easy and mine was black at 3ok miles. Main thing, just don't over torque that bolt, those cases break easy and then you are S O L.

The large jug was tranny, the small bottle was a sample I took from T case, less then 30k miles.

Personally I don't like OEM fluids. They are designed to make it past the warranty period and thats it. The major oil companies like Mobil and Shell are in bed with most of these auto companies so IMO you can't trust them too much either.

JMO tho.

Can't lump them all up as bad, the 8 speed mopar is great, you just pay stupid money for it.

But when i have time to buy on line..... I always get S1.

Gummout has always been a quick backup for me.

It is interesting when fuel cleaners are used and then a bad result happens, although of course we hate it when it is a bud of ours. Does that mean it cleaned something and created an issue? And Corey had like 3 different cleaners in one of those tanks? Amsoil pi, 2 stroke, and redline si-1? Was there too much oil in that tank as all of those are oil based? Hard to know if what happened on the long run was good or bad, can't wait to see those piston tops.

It is not unheard of for redline si-1 to have some issues, my belief is sometimes it cleans stuff that creates the issue, just like from time to time the engine oil does. We know Corey's combustion chamber was whack, so I know he will keep going until it isn't. It might be that sea foam will be best answer, but the si-1 result will be interesting either way.

I've used it a couple times, the only thing I'm 100% sold on is PEA, that stuff will work. Sometimes slowly, but it will work. I wish we could just buy 100% PEA.

Do you guys run fuel system cleaner all the time or just at certain intervals? Buying a 2013 ram with a 5.7 so want and tips and tricks I can get. Already got 4 gallons of redline 5w30 and royal purple filters for its first oil change the day I get it.

I have used sea foam with good results before. Anyone have thoughts on that stuff?

Well it depends on the person.

Corey is planning on doing a few tanks in a row at a more concentrated level. Then he is doing a UOA and checking cylinders.

I am following the mix ratio that TCW3 users follow (2oz per 10 gallons or 640:1) for the entire OCI and then i will do a UOA and check cylinders.

I still need to check them at the current time.

Some guys will follow the 3,000 mile and 1 full bottle interval. Others will do the 1,500 mile and half bottle interval.

Up to you.

I was doing redline si-1 every tank, but when I changed the oil it had a very strong chemical odor. I then decided to lower the dose, now I do 1/2 a bottle of si-1 like every 4 tanks or so. Hemi395 is doing a boroscope test with s1, stay tuned to see results. He found a video with a boro's si usage that looked good, we will see if we can duplicate it. Either way the results are big news imo.
