watch the video for the actual numbers p filter diesel versus p filter gas.Huh? Since when did gasoline produce higher particulates than diesel fuel? Only since the advent of Gasoline Direct Injection with a single injector, to my knowledge. The direct injection injector can not inject at high enough pressure (using gasoline) to allow sufficient atomization for complete combustion - hence the corresponding soot and unburned gas going into the exhaust and oil sump.
This occurs during the "rich burn" (stoichiometric) operating mode, not during the lean burn mode that only occurs during light vehicle load conditions.
Gasoline vehicles NEED an indirect fuel injector in the intake port to provide sufficient time to atomize the gasoline during rich burn / stoichiometric / high load vehicle modes - this was deliberately left out to save money from the cost of these GDI engines, leading to the sooty engine fiasco we have now. Some have added a 2nd injector finally.

I am on vacation this weekNo just shows real world results port injected gas 1 part, diesel 5 parts, and modern di = 15 parts. I was in the dark on this one, I had no idea how truly bad this technology that is being forced on us actually is, especially considering the entire reason for these engines where to be responsible for the environment, so if you believe that di engines should be banned not built.
I think Corey was just board today, decided to upend the entire thread.

cant wait to see what you got for tomorrowI am on vacation this week![]()

I heard its a three-way. Honda, Nissan and Mitsubishi.Proof Toyota is running stuff in gas engines like Tesla is running it for EV - Rumor mill Honda and it's 40 billion market cap is in talks with Nissan and it's 10ish bil who if they merge will be the dare I say strongest group of auto makers behind toyo number 1 and volks 2. Honda stock took a hit today while Nissan is up, go figure. In fact you could probably add every single car maker together and they probably would still be second to Toyota but I must admit I haven't done the math. Growing up Honda was always considered toyota's equal, if not better with all of the other lines they had from genny's to cycles and beyond. I guess this signals a surrender on hondas part? Someone should do a study in the story of these two companies and what went wrong for Honda and what went right toyota.
Volks market cap around 50 bil, wait for it .................. Toyota market cap = 282 bil.
^^^ THIS!!!!GM 56
Ford 40
stelantis 40
Honda 40
Nissan 10
volks 50
yup math does reveal how great toyo is. Don't hate the company who has done everything right?
plus the CEO has large ones, telling the world Hey EV is not the future, lol. Gotta appreciate that. Plus he adds the market should be "consumer" driven. Makes me want to go buy a Toyota right this minute, great cars and a dude with balls running it. They sure do SUV and Sedan right, can't say I am a fan of either truck they make, but in my opinion nobody does anymore except for 2500's plus. Everything else is just garbage or sold in other countries, lol.^^^ THIS!!!!
Toyota is a phenomenal auto maker, period!
I had an 84' Corolla that would not die! I drove the living p i z_z out of it and she still kept going.
EPIC vehicle, and more memories in that baby than I care or dare to say publicly
Although, I did have an 88' Shadow Turbo way back in the day that was the iteration just after the Mits engines left the chat with MOPAR, and I can't tell impart to you all just how much of a brute that vehicle was...
It took everything I threw at it and then some... wow... many a high school memory in that whip in Port Hope!
The old back-roads with a case of wobbly-pops in the back seat with the 12's in the trunk slinging bass like no one's business, and a literal rendition of Up In Smoke out the windows as we cruised all over Northumberland County... how we didn't die...or get busted... lol
I'm not sure the percent Mitsubishi corp is their car line but I already thought Nissan owned them, I guess I was wrong on that but they own a large part of it. My guess their car line is a low percent of Mitsubishi core business.I heard its a three-way. Honda, Nissan and Mitsubishi.

Now it isn't all great, Toyota has some whack tech that costs a fortune when it breaks, but who doesn't these days.

They should bring back the old 2JZ,that engine was virtually indestructable, and would handle boost like there was no tomorrow.plus the CEO has large ones, telling the world Hey EV is not the future, lol.
