Hey all! Just thought I would share something that I stumbled upon. If you are Costco member you can order Spyder Auto headlights and taillights through the Costco website. Shipping is free and it is by far the lowest price I have been able to find on Spyder lights. I ordered a set of projector lights last night! Can't wait to get them.

Damn... I didn't even know costco had automotive supplies. I thought they were food only. After I was done reading this post I went to check them out online. Apparently they have tons of stuff for just about everything. Thanks a lot for that heads up. Going to stop by after work sometime and get a membership. (I don't think a membership is that expensive)

It's amazing the stuff they have there. You can literally buy a whole car from them not just accessories. I have a love hate relationship with the place. I always spend way to much money there. I believe a membership is 55 bucks a year. I don't even know what it costs me cause it just gets billed to my card and I pay it. haha You could get a 50 dollar membership buy some headlights and still save money from what some websites are charging for Sypder lights.

Anyone have any reviews on Spyder?

Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2

I have them on my 4th gen, they are the same thing as the recons except no ccfl halos but half the cost. So far have been pretty awesome, better output than stock (still not as bright as I'd like) but better. Projectors have a nice cutoff and installation was simple plug and play, (didn't hook up halos or leds, not my style). Thinking bout buying there led tails now. The quality seems top notch for a less expensive product.

I agree with Deek, I've got them on my 3rd gen. I just need to adjust the lights cause they shine all over the place, and not in front of me :p Just seal em up somehow when you get them. Looked at mine yesterday and looks like I had some mud and water in one if them.

About the tails, I had their taillights and they were real nice, but the left one didn't fit right. It kept like leaning toward the tailgate, wasn't a flush look. And when I opened and close my tailgate it would hit the light bc they weren't fitting right. Which is weird bc my stocks fit perfect. My truck was also in a minor accident on that side(but was professionally fixed) so idk if that had something to do with it or if I just got a bad set.

Oh I didn't know you could replace the CCFL ring. I may look into doing that bc my ring is not that bright. Can't barely see it during the day. Were they just like stock headlights, as far as taking apart? I need to look into some HIDs too. Anyone know a good place to get them?

I just came across a company that sells just the LED rings for headlights. You could even add just the rings to the stock lights. I'll have to see if I can find it again.

My buddy is running soyder auto projectors on his excursion, I'm not to sure if they are all like this... But the chrome.paint peeled off after a few months and his bezel cracked.

It will work, however your low beam will turn off when the high beam comes on. A dealer should be able to change your sales code & reprogram to change this so that both lamps are on when you turn on your high beams.

THE SPEC D SPYDER RECON ETC.. are all the same. if they look the same in the pics that's because they are. I went with some ebay headlights for like 130.00 shipped and there perfect. there all made in china. no scense buying a light set for 400 when the same exact thing is selling for 130.00
