sorry to post this in ramforum but the diablo website is so disorganized and hard as hell to navigate.

this morning i tried to change from 93 perf. to fuel saver tune just to try it out for a tank of gas. the tuner made me basically unmate the trinity and then remate it to upload the new tune. does this happen everything i want to change tunes or am i doing something wrong.

i had to upload the stock tune then redownload the stock tune to upload the new one.

is there a way to go right from 93 perf to FUEL saver back to 93 perf. without unmating and downloading the stock tune in between?

Does it give you an error when going between the two tunes? I sometimes get an error, and I just turn the key off for a few seconds, then back on and I'm good to go.

I'm pretty sure that you have to reset to stock each time you change tunes. Due to the fact that the tuner needs to rewrite the computer to add the specific tune. Unlike diesels that you can change settings on the fly. It sucks but it's just the way gas tuners work

I have never had to go back to stock tune.. My tunes are custom from hemifever so I dont know if that has something to do with it but i switched from stock to custom to second custom to third custom without having to revert back.

interesting. i have the hemifever custom tune too. when i've received updated tunes from him, i have to return my truck to stock before I'm even able to upload the new tune on my trinity.

I know for sure you have to reinstall back-up tune when you need to download an update from DS to the tuner. You should be able to write over a tune with out putting it back to stock.

ya you have to have the original file there when updating but you dont have to load the stock tune in order to switch to a new tune.
