Tail gate light bar concerns

Looking at either the Opt7 or Putco. During research a few have said that they had problems with the back up sensor thinking there is a trailer present. Others have said the wire harness under the tailgate for the back up camera was in the way and ended up returning the lightbar.
Was wondering if anyone had any of theses issues and had a way to make it work. Also looking for tips on how to connect the wires. Really don’t want to hard wire if I don’t have to.

Use Curt Connector. Goes in between 7 pin. Gives U a 5 pin connector .

Mount the light bar using neodymium magnets (w/VHB two sided tape), then you can move it out of the way if the spare tire is needed.

With the putco having the 2 loose wire separate from the 4 pin connector, could you still use the 5 pin to 7 pin splitter?

Using the above Curt adapter will give you left/stop, right/stop, running, and reverse in the five flat. You would have to tap the +12V from 7pin plug on the adapter directly. You can use a bullet crimp on connector for the reverse wire and plug that onto the 5 flat.
