Sorry if this is a repost... I only found one other thread and the pictures didn't do justice.

Pretty simple... The white circles/dots are a glue/adhesive of some type. Pop these off. All of them. I used a pocket knife to work around the circles.

Once the dots are off, insert something flat into the sides and pry gently, as to not break any of the plastic rods.

Here it is removed, and afterwards, side by side

With all the stuff you've been doing, I had to try to beat you to it! Lol.

I used epoxy/ a bumper repair kit to put it back together. Fyi. I'm sure there's other options, but wanted to make sure it was staying. Already had the kit cause I filled in holes where they drilled my front license plate. Let me know if you want part number. 6 bucks on amazon plus free shipping from amazon plus

Lol! Cool thanks.
Mine are plasti-dipped right now, and I don't like it cuz it's starting to bubble. Time for real paint!
I saw the red background, with black. Is that a test or the final look?

That was the final color but it wasn't put together yet. You could see the gap in top right from where the top piece was just placed on top of the other.

Why? Thoughts?

It was 2 coats duplicolor adhesion promotor. 3 coats dulplicolor caliper paint, 3 coats duplicolor auto clear coat. Used caliper paint so it matches the calipers when I paint them. Didn't want a difference in shades

Holy smokes you are thorough!!! :) I think it looks great!

FYI, the duplicolor caliper spray and the brush paint are different shades. :(
I used the spray on my center caps and brush on my calipers, and it's kinda noticeable... when I did them, I was thinking exactly what you are.

I forgot to mention sanding. Better to do it once than twice.

That sucks, thanks for the heads up. Might be a thing where only you notice since you did it? If anyone ever brings it up, say the slight difference is because the calipers are in the wheel well with shadows, and the center caps are up front, and let them know they are crazy.

Trying this now. What grit sand paper did you use?

I'm honestly not sure what the equivalent would be... it was a sanding ball you stick in your drill. I was too lazy to find the real stuff. Took me about a minute. Lol.

Can't wait to see it. Color matched is the way to go, IMO.

Off the subject but a mod still keeps running through my head. I have thought about drilling out the eyes on the trunk lid RAM badge and inserting high intensity red LEDs that would be powered by the brake light signal.

Got this done the other week. It is mounted in the grill now but not hooked up to running light circuit yet. Working on another project for my turn bulbs that are not ready yet. This will get hooked up when I get hat project done. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1405563750.105613.jpg
I can not take credit for it. Saw the thread in here but it had some broken links for pics and I managed to figure it out.
I was also thinking about lighting up rear emblem in some manner. Doing something like this or lighting the eyes like the previous poster had mentioned. :undecided

I like that! Did you document it to fill in the missing pics in the other thread?

Ummm sort of. The other pics worked with the exception of where to mount the LED strips. So that part I figured out on my own and took a pic of. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1405602398.677958.jpg
So the black marker is inside the emblem and you can not see it from the outside. It was a reference for me to place the LEDs in the correct spot. Used some small strips of 3M bodybuilding tape all the way around the badge and put these 2 pieces together. I then used some bigger pieces to put the whole piece back on the grill.

Huh, they changed how the '13+ badges are assembled.
My '11 was just snapped together.

I hope the tailgate badge is now 2 pieces, that'd be wonderful!

Led strips came from auto zone. I do not have a pic of it on my truck yet. Maybe I will shoot a pic tomorrow if I remember.

When the plexi is attached to the back how are the LED's oriented? Between the plexi and the ram I would assume but LED facing the ram or face down on the plexi?

The LEDs are "sandwiched" between the plexi and the ram head. The way the ram head is molded it has space where the LEDs sit.

Fire, have a pic attached to the grill?

Here it is. Attached to grill looks basically the same stock emblem. Slightly lighter background but hardly noticeable. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1405969423.514127.jpg
ImageUploadedByTapatalk1405969443.039028.jpg
ImageUploadedByTapatalk1405969453.183675.jpg

And here it lit up. It's temporarily attached to battery just for these pics. Still working on final attachment for lighting.

Again I do not take credit for this. It's from another member on this site.
