I ordered a SnugTop campershell for my 2012 Ram 2500 a few weeks back. I'm currently in the process of making a drawer platform like the Decked systems for my camping trips. I'd like to run power to the bed for a few accessories like 12v power outlets (for charging electronics and even possibly a 200w power inverter), a few led light pods/strips to light up the inside and outside of the shell.
Would the 12v+ on my 7 Pin trailer connector be able to handle the load if i spliced into it with a matching gauge wire? Or would it be better to run a fused larger gauge like 6 to 10 from the battery to the back?
