I went from a pavement princess 17' Sport with a 6" lift(that was totaled) to my Wagon and sometimes im glad i wrecked my 1500... lol The IFS was a bit smoother to me but Im so glad i decided to get a wagon over another 1500. This truck just feels so much more capable and stout in every aspect. I was never into getting out and wheeling a truck on rocks but ever since i got my wagon Im hooked. Taking these big girls out on the trail is where they shine

I'm at around 1600 miles since getting mine a couple of months ago. I really only haul lumber so the payload thing isn't an issue for me. I wanted the off-road capabilities. I'm really enjoying it so far. I put Amp power steps on which made my wife happy.

One other thought. I went from a 2006 1500 Sport that I absolutely loved until I wrecked it. I thought it was pretty good off road and have taken it to places that I probably shouldn't have.... but the Powerwagon is so much better off road that I don't hesitate going places that I was uncomfortable taking my quad.

I say go for it. You won't be disappointed.

I’ve seen a couple of 2019’s going for about 53k that is doable but I love my Beastie, besides I turn the 37’s without any issue due to the 4:56’s stock and I hear some of you running off at the gums about losing some power when you run them on the newer models with the 4:10’s, what say you? I mean you should still be pushing about a 3:55 ratio and you do have the 6.4’s.

na I just need a diesel 2500 to tow with. I will put a bumper and winch on it. Love the wagon tons but I have outgrow it’s towing ability’s with my business.
Just know, since you say it is for your business. A 2500 diesel is also down on payload and it is very easy to take the truck over GVWR with a large trailer. Some states do pull trucks over to weigh. Just a heads up. Some people overlook this. We have a few right now who are astonished they can not tow their camper and stay within the confines of capacity.

I want a Powerwagon myself...but I need the 8 foot bed and regularly habe my truck loaded to 10k. The 8650 of the Powerwagon is just too little.

I have a Power Wagon due to really close to my home we're surrounded by over 500 million acres of Federal Public Land. (Map further below).

The "Recommended 4x4 Equipment" is mandatory equipment in these remote areas, if you want to explore it and still be able to get back home. (Photo below). The PW doesn't have roll over protection though.

If I didn't want to get back home, I wouldn't have a Power Wagon.

makes me wonder why Nevada is not more of a destination offroad state like Utah, California and Colorado. When it comes to letting 4wd use the the land Colorado and Utah are my favs. I live in Montana and lots of land but truly not as much offroad accessible as it looks.

For remote exploration NV absolutely is. UT, however, has the highly popularized slickrock type trails around Moab. Moab is Disneyland for trucks, replete with crowds and all that goes with it. Not that you can't get remote in UT, those remote trails just don't make the vids.

NV's Blackrock Desert and Applegate Trail, for example, are fantastic for getting away. You're just not going to have the glamour shots of endless obstacles on red rock.

Nevada is primarily the Great Basin. Colorado and Utah have the Colorado Plateau, in addition to the Rockies and Wasatch. California has the Sierra Nevada and Mojave Desert. I've spent a lot of time exploring all four states mentioned.

The eastern slope of the Sierra Nevada is a vertical wall. Little moisture gets across it and so there's lots of desert with dozens of additional north-south ranges all the way east across Nevada. Most of Central Nevada looks like Death Valley, but at a 5,000 feet higher elevation. The mountains in Central Nevada are extremely steep like the Ruby Mountains. There are few trails and roads across them. Highway 50, 6, 93, and I-80 cut into its heart. The valleys in between are dry lakes and are thick with sage brush. It's remote country with nothing fantastic to see except beautiful mountains surrounded by dust, pronghorns, and open space.

The nearly 3,500 foot vertical face cliff of Notch Peak, Utah gives one a great view of the Great Basin including Nevada in the distant background...

Yes for sure. I’m aware of this also. I have a 5500 and 4500 for the big stuff. I just need to be able to tow my skidsteer from time to time or move other equipment or material to jobs and the Power wagon doesn’t cut it. I have a 3500 cab and chassis also but that will be a winter services truck shortly.

I make four round trips (80 miles) for wood pellets prior to winter. A pallet is sixty 40 pound bags. Also, have a topper on my bed. Never had an issue with hauling 2,400 pounds over a 11,000 foot summit on our steep and windy mountain roads with hairpin turns. Just take it slow, which means 55 MPH and lower.

A ton of pellets is a ton. a ton is 2000. 50 bags are a ton.

How does 60 bags come to play there and not here ?????
