It's your story. I just know there is a huge difference in price on a 2013 tundra and a 2014 crewmax tundra.

Yea, the 13 was a crewmax 4x4 too!

Maybe I should have said in my 1st post I really miss the Ram's and looking to get back in them...... screw the first post and let's go with this one.

Towing 7k lbs I would still consider the EcoDiesel. Non towing miles will easily outpace the Hemi along with towing miles, usually 30% to 50% better.

Check out some EcoDiesel forums and see how they are doing. One individual has about 130K miles on a one year old truck towing a 7k lb trailer between Salt lake City and Green River Wyoming at least 5 days a week. Ram 1500 diesel forum, lots of info or Youtube "Mopar Ecodiesel", Has a few reviews and mods he has done.

If you ever tow loaded with feed etc, you'll appreciate the 2500 and you'll also appreciate the 3/4 ton brakes and stiffer frame etc when your in the mountains...get the 4:10's

I say if your wanting to go half ton to give the ECO D a try. I bet it would do great for what you are wanting to do. If you don't like it it seems like you have no problems trying something else out. That wasn't meant to put you down either. I just figure you can't go wrong if you can get a good deal on a ECO D. If that doesn't do it for you step up to a 2500 6.4/4.10. I want the 1500 diesel but am happy with my Hemi and the once a year (I don't drive it much) $24 dollar oil change makes me happy.
