Hey all new to the forum here just had a question about my ram wondering if anyone can shed some light on this issue.
It's a 94 with the 5.2l Magnum 2wd only and 194k miles.
Problem is after a small blip on throttle as backing into driveway or sitting in traffic and moving a few feet at a time it has trouble returning to an idle. It will rev up and move fine but then when you let off gas the idle drops down and almost stalls and it usually catches itself. Normal acceleration from a stop it does not have any issue as well as when driving at cruising speed it doesn't do this. Only happens from a dead stop with a minor amount of throttle.
Already planned on pulling the throttle body to most likely replace the air idle controller and clean the MAF since I cannot seem to find a replacement from any parts store. My other question is since this Maf sensor is mounted on the side of the throttle body unlike the conventional ones I see on newer cars where it is located on the intake ducts.
Is it ok to use the crc Maf sensor cleaner on this? I can't see the wires or anything inside as it's just a couple small vacuume hose type connections.
So there's my issue and plan, anyone have any other suggestions on what it could be our am I at least on the right track for starting to remedy this issue?
Thanks in advance for any input you may have.
