Throttle body to fuel injection swap.

Look to remove my throttle body and swap to EFI. has anyone done this on a 1999 5.2 318 ram 1500? Any kit i can buy or tips for doing so? thanks in advance.

You already have EFI. The throttle body doesn’t have injectors, each cylinder has its own injector.

That Holley fuel injection on those Magnum V-8's was the **** back in those days. I don't think it would be worth the trouble or the money to try something else because it would definitely be aftermarket and probably pretty damn expensive. If your looking for more power I had a Mopar Performance computer, a free flowing muffler, a high flow air filter and 3.92s in a 93 Dakota back in the day and it would haul ass. A stock 5.0 Mustang didn't stand a chance in a quick stoplight to stoplight drag race. The Mopar performance computer made the biggest difference. It would lay rubber on the 1-2 shift after that. I wish they made those for these modern Hemi's!

Your factory multi port setup is plenty effective being obd2. Obd1 i could understand the swap from a tuning standpoint but obd2 is SCT and SykedECU compatible

I had the Super Chips programmer on my ‘99, M1 intake,ported TB, Ford pink top injectors, roller rockers, headers, 3” exhaust, 4.88’s, on 37”s, it surprised many a car that thought they were going to get out in front of it

Dude we are also talking when you were still watching Sponge Bob Square Pants when you were a kid, I am old enough to be your dad. When KMC was about the only one doing any sort of performance crap for these trucks (other than Mopar, A couple of blowers & Crane cams).

I see all these guys talking about building magnum motors on here, spending $5k-$10k on those dinosaurs, I don’t get it.
If I were to pick up another 2nd gen, I would drop a Gen3 hemi in and have more power and greater potential.

Same argument could be made for the Chevy 350 vs the LS platform though too.

I’m sorry if I came off like a ***** as well.

It was frustrating when I got that truck that nobody gave it any love, & you could get performance parts for your Ford & Chevy at Walmart.

In ‘04 I bought a ‘88 K5 Blazer and swapped a 454 in it. I sold it but want another, but it will get a 6.0LS instead.
I am restoring a ‘70 Camaro that the 454 out of the K5 is going in, but contemplating doing an LS instead

Imagine a 2nd gen Ram though with a 6.1 Hemi in it, essentially double the HP then what it came with.

Hell my ‘06 Charger was fast....10 yrs ago, now V6’s can beat it.
