My engine has ticked when cold for awhile, I assumed it was lifters, but I felt around today and felt nothing on the lifters, alternator was noisy and vibrating but not ticking, but the AC compressor seemed to be vibrating at the same rythym as the tick. I have no AC, if it's hot I just pull the doors off lol. Never touched or serviced the compressor. But can AC compressors tick, or might it still be the lifters?
