I've got a 2017 Crew Cab 1500, 3.92 gears. I'm towing a boat with an estimated 6700# boat/trailer with an estimated 400-450 tongue weight and it's tandem axle. I just got the boat so I haven't run to the scales yet to get exact numbers.
With the boat hooked on, maybe 2-3in of squat and probably another couple when you throw passengers in.

Which would be the better air bag system? Air lift bags in side the springs or the bolt on Timber Grove ASAM?

I had the Timber Grove ASAMs. Easy install and heavy duty. Just find a spot to put your fill line, and you're good to go.

If truck is sagging, the weight is off. First thing is the tongue weight should be about 10% but you have to figure boat fuel which for a 24 foot boat is about 75 gallons (600lbs) that can be mostly on tongue, and gear, plus fuel in truck and passengers, other gear, etc. You are probably over maximum payload on your truck, which is about 1,600lbs. Airbags will not transfer weight properly on your truck, try towing with fuel tank on boat empty and fill just before launching. A lot cheaper and safer than adding bags. Good luck.

An alternative to consider would be "Sumo springs". Easy install, I recently put them in mine. They fit in place of the bump stops and they barely touch the axle when unloaded so there is no difference in ride.
When the RV dealer was installing my WD hitch the truck only squatted about 1 1/2 inch compared to what he said was normally 3+ inches. Tongue weight was 600 lb according to the specs.

Airlift 1000HD worked out best for me.
Smooth level ride when loaded up.
I would go with these again.

I have Timbergrove air bags and they work great and were easy to install.
These truck sag way to much with very little weight and it does not take much air in the bags to stop that, I hardly ever put more than 30 psi in mine.

I used the Air lift 1000Hd on my 2015 Ram 1500 and I thought they were great. Good adjustability for loaded vs unloaded
