More advice from the experienced engine builders required.

Why do the timing chain kits have a disclaimer to compare the cam sprockets?

Whats the potential differences? And why could they be different?

Thanks.40AF37E5-EE5B-4330-B084-295B19B97E68.jpeg

The disclaimer is there because this kit fits various Mopar 4.7 engines with different VIN identifiers. Along with that, I'm sure there was someone who ordered the wrong kit, installed it and then tried to sue the company because their engine was ruined. Verify your VIN and verify the cam sprocket when you get the kit.

I now know what the disclaimer is for.

Its for the difference between the JTEC and NGC engines.

Identical timing kits, depending on supplier apart from the tone wheel on the cam sprocket.

Seems obvious now i know.
