In case anyone was wanting to do the same....I found the Lamin-x wasn't the right size/ difficult to line up correctly.

35% tint from O'Reilly's- 8.99

Looks great. I was thinking about doing the same thing. Looks like a pain though.

No need to take off the bumper (unless you were doing another mod not listed) I simply unbolted my fogs and tinted them off the truck, took 15 minutes.

Thanks all

Looks great! How does it affect the light output?
I can take a pic for you if you would like.. I honestly haven't checked because I don't use the fogs.

I already had the grill and lights off to put in new headlights and HIDs. The bumper takes about 10 minutes to take off and another 10 to put on. I like that I was able to cover the whole light as well, just so I wouldn't need to worry about the edges or anything.
I dont exactly have a lot of finesse, lol.

Plus I like taking **** apart. And breaking things.... just not on the truck

Anthony... I could be wrong.. but for the 13 expresses and sports, I am pretty sure that the only thing you can access on the fog lights from the back is the actual bulb portion, to unbolt it it has to be done with the bumper off, due to placement of the bolts.

I've had a few dudes get new 13+ projectors from me, no removal of the bumper is needed on the new trucks. Only 09-12 sports ;)

Ah well. That's what I get for not reading the actual directions...

Either way. Simple enough. 8 bolts for the actual bumper and 4 bolts/clips on the fender liner on each side. And I got a cool pic of a naked truck

With Sport's and Express' you cannot remove the foglights without removing the bumper.

Looks like a pain - but I understand why you tinted them! Looks very nice.

You can 100% remove the fogs on '13 and above without taking the bumper off.....I have done it twice. On my '12 yes I had to remove the bumper but this is a total different setup on the new trucks.

Tinted mine yellow without removing the bumper or the fogs...

Simply wash, dry, cut the film, spray with soapy water, stick the film, remove the air and water bubbles with a squigee/credit card, then heat up a bit with a heat gun! Voila!

Took me 5 minutes each sides!!

I would imagine upgrading to HID's for the fogs would take care of any light output loss from the tint?

Wouldn't the film be backwards since it's supposed to go inside the glass?

Not to hijack the thread but mine is more of a protective film than a tint. Ordered a roll of 12"x36" for like 5$ on ebay, so whenever it starts peeling or getting chips or scratches, simply remove and re-do...

Wanted to order the lamin-x but gosh it's expensive and to me it wasn't the best bang for the bucks!

Yeah I know yours is made to go on the outside. But window tint is supposed to go on the inside. So if you put sticky side down (how else would it stick) it would be backwards.

I ordered some generic vinyl film online and did my fogs. Pulled them off since it only takes a few minutes. They are flat so the stuff is super easy to apply.
