I've started looking at new trucks and have driven an F250 and a RAM 2500.I've always read that the Ford rides the roughest of the 3 brands, but the one I drove was definitely smoother than the RAM. I would say it was comparable to my 1500(200,00 miles and original shocks). Both trucks tires were set at the recommended psi, which was 60 on the F250 and 80(I think) on the 2500. Would lowering the psi in the RAM down to 50-60psi as many said really make that much of a difference?
I am also curious if anyone has driven the 3500 with the rear air suspension and how that ride compares to a 2500 with the regular springs.

I owned a 16, 2500 6.7 on coils and it rode well. I currently have a 20, 3500 6.7 drw with auto leveling air ride suspension and we absolutely love it. This thing does not ride like a 3500 drw and definitly rides better than the 2500 on coils . The only time we notice that truck feel is when the steer axle goes over a speed bump but still better than the 2500

My 3500 was delivered to me with all tires at 90 psi, don’t know why Ram does this

So they don't flat spot when sitting for months waiting for shipping or on the dealer lot. PDI is SUPPOSED to air them down to door sticker psi. My dealer did it right on my 2500 in Aug, first time I actually saw it corrected on PDI, first time dealing with this dealer. He also ordered the 2" to 2.5" receiver adapter that was missing without me even having to ask. Didn't know it wasn't there till he called me.
I actually dropped rear tire to 55 and the fronts to 60, from the 65 door sticker for the 18" Firestone ATs. To the OP, yes it makes a huge difference to how the truck rides. I have riden in the 2021 Ford 250, both are long bed crew cabs, and to me the Dodge rides better. I would go air one down and take it for a spin.

Air pressure makes a big difference in the ride of my '19 2500 6.4. I have Cooper all terrains running at 50 front and 45 rear and just air up to tow.

100% yes. My Ram 3500 came with the tires at 93psi... lowered them to 60 and it made a huge difference. Just put on new wheels and tires and am running them at 45-47psi front and 35psi rear. Rides amazing.
