Starting to look at tire options to plan ahead before I have to do something. Currently running the stock Nexan tires that came from the factory and am over 18k with no problems so far. Truck is a '22 3500 DRW CTD HO Aisin 4.10. I am full time pulling a 5th wheel, and running on the heavy side while towing. Last time on the scales, the truck axles were carrying 13,800 lbs with the 5er on the hitch (rated to 14,000 on the door sticker). Mostly highway driving, but many of the parks are grass/dirt/gravel as well. Not interested in changing wheels, or tire size. Just looking for good tires for highway towing. TIA

I have heard the Toyo M55 all train tires are very good along with the Duravis 700 HD, it all depends on how aggressive of a tire you want to use...

I have Nitto Dura Grabber - they don't warranty mileage on LT tires.

I tow a TT half of my mileage and got 40K miles on the Nittos.

Don't get me wrong - they are good tires.

The OP will be towing a lot.

I ended up replacing my junk nexens at 14k miles due to two tires having broken belts in them, on my 3500 dually. I went with Nitto Dura Grapplers as my replacements for all six tires at the RAM dealership for around $1200. They wore very well, and they were a great all season replacement. The big thing is that cummins is very heavy up front at like1100lbs. You need a descent tire!

When I was pulling a fifth wheel with my dully I had very good service from Firestone TransForce tires.

I have been very happy with the Duravis. The first set i had on a '09 Silverado 2500. They were the all terrain 700's. They were on the noisy side for highway use. When I got my '17 Ram dually i put the 500's on it and they were definitely quieter. I put the 500's on my '20 ram dually this past summer. The 700's and the 500's both wear really well for me.

2010 Ram dually. Tried Michelin tires the first replacement. Then Bridgestone Duravis R500 for the second and third replacement. They are an all season tire that works great. I change tires every 5 years. The Bridgestone tires have held up great and if I need tires again in the future, will buy them again.

Thanks for all the suggestions! I'll certainly look through the options.

I have Cooper with a 60,000 rating after 50,000 still 11/32 left, that's about 50%. Great traction, dead silent. AT3 so good aggressive tread too. I went up a size from factory they're equivalent to a 34" and E Load. 17lbs heavier than stock, I no longer tow, so next time I'll get standard to save a little gas. These effected my city, but not really highway.

Tires usually start out at 16/32 ... so 11/32 would be 66% remaining to bald.
