Most dealers can't, or won't, touch the Body Control Module to re-calibrate the speedo for tire size changes. It's a software/cost issue and the dealers are not willing to pay for the limited license from Stellantis last time I checked.

Some tire shops can re-calibrate and it may be worth your while to give some local shops a call and ask.

Lastly, you can license AlfaOBD, get an interface cable and a OBDII dongle and calibrate it yourself. AlfaOBD has a large number of other functional change options you can select if you so choose.

thanks for the reply GROK gave the same answer what's troubling is they did not say they could not do it but it is not possible on this truck GROK also said it not only affects speed reading but is tied into all the safety features traction control auto braking cruse control my wife drives this ram so I'm wondering how important this is GROK also offered to print out the instructions to hand to the dealer tech since I'm still under warranty didn't want to do a software change

The difference seems to be negligible; I wouldn't worry about it.

This is contrary to my experience with the issue.
