Tire size?

Hello all. I’ve googled and searched this site and still confused. I’ve got a 2020 Ram 1500 Bighorn stock. The current tires are 275/55R20. I need new ones but want to go larger. Will a 285/55R20 fit?

Yes, easily. 10 Milimiteres wider isn't even a half inch, 25.4 MM in an inch.

Tire width and diameter is a relationship between rim size, sidewall height and width. A tire with a 65 aspect ratio will have much different sidewall height on an 18" versus 20" rim. If you put the OPs two tire choices into a tire size calculator u will see what I mean.

So in the OPs case the new tire is .4 wider but also .4 taller, even thought the aspect ratio stayed at 55.
