8 speed with 321 gear still lights them up from a dead stop with 35s.... I went from 35x12.5r20s to 285/75/r17
did not see any change at all. only a few inches and a few lbs but even then i dont think you will notice much coming from stock. i saw very little difference going to 35s from stock and the smile every time you lock at your truck countered it lol.

It's done, couldn't be happier. Definately need to get aggressive in removing the rest of the chrome now. 76f78a72611af31ecb3acb757f9aad4e.jpg4deb9c63250e80433c8359b22ddaf6ba.jpg504a1b237fa077c50e4bb0dff4528b45.jpg60526a0b6baf26e8ea82a18f54066563.jpg
I've got 285/75/17 tires on my truck, bilsteins at 2.1. Tires are nearly identical in measurements as yours. Seeing as you have a maximum steel ram, this is my max steel all blacked out. I just have stock wheels though, plastidipped black. I will eventually get aftermarket wheel. 772927315996c2b8d5365790e05f05a3.jpgf4d356d0195d879cc4c263647f9bdfdf.jpg

Are your bumpers black? What did you do to get those? I am not a fan of any of the aftermarket front bumpers I have seen so I was considering buying some painted bumpers and having the coated satin black.

Just plastidiped, I was considering painting them so I dont have to redo them every 6-8 months, but I figure when I get rid of the truck I may have better luck if I take it back to stock. I kept all the other stuff to put back on too, like the grill.

Yeah, I have a terrible habit of keeping all my stock parts that I removed as well. The justification is that I would put them back on when I sell but that is 10 years later and I am far too lazy to actually go through all that work.

So finally after 6 months I have some new wheels but at the last moment I changed from 18" back to 20" when the wheel I wanted wasn't available anymore. Now this has thrown off my six months of picking a tire size. So I am asking for some opinions to help.

First, new wheels are going to be 20x9.5 with a 0mm offset. I have the front leveled at 2.1 and unfortunately I still have the 3.21 gears as I haven't been bothered to get a new front axle and honestly the 8 speed makes it feel perfectly fine so far.

275/60/20 - Stock size, but why?
285/60/20 - Little taller, little wider, quite a bit heavier.
295/60/20 - Like the 285 but a bit more of everything.
305/55/20 - About the same height as stock but much wider and heavier.

I am not really interested in stock at all. That leave me weighing options between taller and heavier fighting my gears or similar size and heavier thinner looking tires also fighting gears.

Fuel mileage is irrelevant, company fuel card FTW, and power has been partially made up by mods and tuning. Eventually I will be going to 3.92 gears but at the rate I'm going that could be after this set of tires is used up.

Thoughts?
What about going with a 275-65-R20 or 285-65-R20

So i have a 2.5 level up front with 285/65/20 (34.9x11.2x20) they dont rub at all and make the truck sit taller and look mean without killing the power. Good luck with your choice!

The 321/8spd combo is fine for all those tires imo.

Aren’t most 295/60s under 34 inches tall? It ends up being barely 1” taller than stock Goodyear’s I thought...

I went with 295/60-20 Yokahama tires on 20X10" wheels. They are 34.2" in diameter and they work great with my leveled RAM - absolutely no rubbing issues but look much more aggressive than stock.
