Can I run 315/70R17 tires on stock rims with no lift? will the dual wheels rub? Anyone have any experience? I have a manual transmission and would like to raise the gear ratio a little 34 inch tires would do it. I have watched youtube vids most folks don't get improved tire life until they get to a lift and 22.5 tires.

Thanks for any help anyone could offer in advance

Stock rims are 6" wide. Anything bigger than 235 is not rated for a 6" wide rim. Lot of people fave run 255/80-17 without issue.

If you plan on carrying any kind of load, you don't want to reduce the clearance between the rear tires by much. As said above, 255's are about the widest I'd go.

My dad has been driving duallies since 1986, so he's played around with this a lot. You just really can't go wider unless you put in spacers between the rear wheels, and if you go too far you need longer studs.

I honestly get a kick out of guys who just throw wider tires on them - it's their time bomb.

255/80/17s have pulled many a dually duty without issue. I’ve seen 265s rub each other under load.

According to my brother-in-law, who works at a truck service station, the super-singles are only available in 22.5" tires. They are not available for 19.5" tires or smaller as yet. You can get wider tires in those size ranges, but they are not rated for the loads a dually can handle.
