Just purchased ProComp 18x9 wheels for gift for grandson. What size tires would work to look cool?

2000 4X2, Quad Cab, Long Bed. He is talking about putting on leveling kit...but I read this can be bad for front suspension.

Any help is appreciated!!

Great idea!

The truck is rather plain...basic white. I think its a work edition, or something like that.

Here are pics of truck and wheels.

Thanks!

265/75R16 or 285/75R16 would look nice. No smaller than 265 I think stock was 245 and looked too small IMO.

So, 16" tires fit an 18" rim??

No ma'am, you'll need 18" tires. He may not have seen that you already purchased the 18" wheels. Someone will respond soon with a good size for the 18" wheels

Those rims are waaaayyyy wide for that truck but if they'll fit you'll need something like a 275/55 sized tire if one is availible in an 18 inch diameter. I believe the codes is running 275/55/20s but I don't know his rim width

wish my grandmother was this cool.....:(

dont know much about sizes in this setup but if you do return them I think a black rim would look amazing on a white truck. But only if hes into black rims.

You shouldnt have any problems with the width
I think a 265/70/18 or 285/65/18 will be your best fit

My apologies I thought you were looking at rims and they were stock sizing just "new look." Tapatalk I see no mention of what size that rim is. :) because I did not scroll to the top :(

18 the rubber gets to be more

285/60R18 would be the size to go to 18" and keep within spec of factory ones.

WHEW!!! Cause my hubby just reminded me that we have to pay the shipping to return...not cheap.

Yes, I like to think of myself as a cool granny. But, this kid has been to hell and back in the last couple of years. He has been doing so well lately. We are so proud and want to celebrate that.

He did mention a black set. But, can't afford it. We showed him a pic of these along with dozens of others...just looking. And, he kept coming back to them.
