My Dilemma:
I have a 7" clearance for m work entrance.
Currently have about 5.5" until I hit that mark.

Pros: My truck is a street-princess. I don't ever get to go mudding anywhere, since there really isn't anywhere to go, let alone I don't have the time to do so. THE only off roading I do is the occasional dirt road riding to find a place to go fishing, which there are very few dips or places to flex.

The Question:
Has anyone put 35x12.5r17 on a stock truck? Im looking at my stock 17 chrome clads and trying to measure if the 35s would rub the knuckle or UCA at all.

IF it's too close, will a HBS 2" spacer level fix that, or is my only option to go out farther (more backspace). Don't want to get new rims as I like my stock chromies, and i've heard bad things about 1.5" spacers, even though theyd be perfect.

Help!

And yes.. I know some will view this as crazy and or stupid, but I love the stuffed big tire look, and yes I've taken into consideration that I will have very little flex. I'm also working on measuring up some custom wheel well liners to allow for more room inside there, without having to rid myself of them. :superhack::roflsquared:

FYI, I used to be in the rock climbing off road world. I saw a big shift to lower center of gravity where all the rigs had very minimal up travel and as much as possible down travel. For this all the rigs have the stuffed look. It used to be all these sky high lifts with tons of up travel which just resulted in a lot of flipped rigs.

I am in the same situation. I want to go bigger, but my work parking garage is under 7'. You will probably need to widen the stance with less backspacing or go with wheel spacers. Then if anything you can adjust your bumpstops to prevent rubbing (not sure how you do this on our trucks, I know jeeps).

Where's a decent place to get spacers? Hubcebtric of course, loctite?

Fleabay okay?
1.5" hub centric billet aluminum

OR are these better? I've heard BORA are close to if not top of the line. $210 for all four, better than new rims !
BORA 1.5"

I have the bora 2" spacers. I did this when I put on 2" fender flares to cover up patch work on my bed wheel wells. That manufacturer suggests NOT using locktite. He suggest retorquing the spacers after 50 miles.

These pictures are stock 17" steels with the 2" bora spacers on and the 2" fender flairs:

Looks nice. I only mentioned loctite cuz I read that on a lot of jeep forums. I have a hard time deleting almost double the price for the BORA ones, since they're fundamentally the same thing as the ebay ones. Ebays aren't anodized, but are still cnc billet aluminum, same grade as the bora ones. What's the difference in the two other than the anodized part?

The only difference for me when I was looking was, I'm afraid to get a Chinese knockoff with bad quality control. I don't want them to break while I'm on the road. I pull a trailer with my motorcycle, imagine it failing at that point?

I'm happy with the Bora's, they have a lifetime warranty, and made in the USA.

Talked to Lenny from Motorsport Tech. Offered a group buy on spacers with 10% discount, and free shipping to any military members. What a steal!
