I’m looking to up the size of my tires. I got a 2006 Ram 1500 mega cab. Got 285/70-17 on there now and want to put 315/75-17 on. I know they may scrub a little when fully turning the wheel, my concern is the height. Before I drop the $$$ just looking for some info. If any of y’all have put these on.

I believe you mean a 315/70R17 sized tires. I can't find any brands that make a 315/75R17.

Comparing your 285/70R17 to a 315/70R17 tire, the width grows by 1.2" and the height increases by 1.7". Some rubbing will occur on the inside at full steering lock which can be eliminated with hub centric spacer. With your mega cab there is sufficient height to clear the taller tire.

I did a 18" wheel & tire upgrade on my 2007 MegaCab 1500. I changed the wheel offset spec from the 43MM stock spec to a +18MM spec. The aftermarket wheel was also a 9" wide wheel which was 1" wider than the stock wheel.

This combination, with all the sizes and specs combined, worked well. YMMV

I’m looking to mount them on my stock 8” wide wheels. Any problem with that?
