Looking to remove the sag on my 1500 when loaded or towing small trailer. So whats everyone's preference? Air bags or the Timbren SES bump stops?

I really enjoyed having the airlift 1000. They've been great for me. Takes the squat out with my small trailer and whenever I load the bed heavy. Keeps the factory ride quality when inflated to only 5 psi.

No I just use a portable compressor or my compressor in my garage. I teed the two together and put my Schrader valve in near my gas cap.

The problem with Timbrens is if you don't have enough load to keep them engaged you get a tougher ride.
AirLift has both the in the coil and frame to axle style airbags, can go wrong either way. Keep in mind your supposed to fully inflate the ones that go inside the coils before loading the truck.
I have a small battery powered air compressor for inflating my airbags, I went ones from TLC a frame to axle style.

You guys are great. Thank you I will do just what bryce88 did. Last question does the bags come with chart to show you what presume to use at what load

There won't be a chart, you'll have to fully inflate the bags then load up the truck and adjust from there. Keep in mind if you change the air bag pressure, you'll probably have to adjust the WDH also.

Is the 34psi max pressure enough for the bags?
Seems like a good little pump
It will go a lot higher than 35 psi, it's max pressure is rated at 120psi. I've used mine to fill bike tires up to 60 psi. The 35 psi is just as a reference for how fast it will fill as most car tires are about that pressure.
I have TLC airbags which are about the largest volume air bag that was available for a 1500 and it has no problem inflating them.
You can also use the inflator tube to deflate the bags once you have your trailer jack down.

why not... many have, and no issues I've heard about them.

from watching install videos, I think it would be easier and faster to do outside the spring. Looks to be a lot of wrestling with the bag to get them inside the spring.

Thank you all for so much information on the installing bags on my 1500.

on a side note I was going to use this to manage the air pressure in the bags after I install them this spring

I installed mine about 6 years ago. Been using them for towing a 7,000 pound travel trailer. They work great. Installation was a little tricky to squeeze the bags inside the springs, but not terribly bad. I used a motorcycle tire iron to help get them in.

Roll them up really tight and then spray wd40 on the springs so they slide in easier. It's not bad
