yeah I know about those but I think you use a lot of the functionality or useability since you have to open the entire bed cover to get to it. Then I would have to be in the bed to get to it.....but i guess it would not be a bad place to store/install the onboard air system.... hmmm

Something like a backflip would be cool with a tool box
I believe I've seen A truck with both before but didn't realize it till after I walked away lol
It's something I'd be interested in too

well I was going to mount the on-board air system under the truck but im starting to think putting it in a tool box will keep everything a lot cleaner thus lasting longer..... But my current bed cover sucks. It has a huge storage bin for the cover itself, so I cant use a tool box with it. hmmm what are some good tool box brands?

I'm not seeing any covers that go with a cross bed, above the rail box anywhere.

Bakflip makes a bakbox that hangs on the rails of the bakflip, but prolly isn't big/heavy duty enough for what you're looking to use it for. Just thought of it tho so thought I'd throw it out there lol :)

not sure if thats deep enough.... but I have not made any measurements.

what I dont like about the bak g2 is 1)the price and 2) that when its folded up for a full load it completely blocks the rear window!

Extang has one that works with all toolboxes up to 21" long. Not as nice as a BAKFlip, but I had one on my Chevy for work and it did the job. I'm sure you could probably find it cheaper somewhere else, but here's the first link I found for it:

I have a bakbox I need to offload............

Its not bad, but I found that I just didn't need it or use it.

yeah thanks for the info guys. I found the extangs and look at them and they dident seem right for me for a couple reasons.

starting to this a undercover type boc and an access roll up might be my next buy..... wanna get this on-board air system in and working....

Bakflip isn't the best option. My buddy has one with a between rail tool box where he has his tank and compressor for air horns and can barely open the toolbox lid with the bakflip completely folded up against the window

well found that a brand I like(access) makes a cover for a 21-22in over the rail box. Ill be putting in that order with dave todayish along with a bedrug. Will look at and order/buy a black toolbox this weekend(not sure if I should go smooth or diamond, kinda feel like the smooth actually looks more ranchish...). Also have some LED on the way for some added light. Going to be a total bed makeover!

The guy I work with just got a black diamond plate box from tractor supply
I was suprised to see it had a textured finish to it, almost like bedliner but a lighter grit I guess
