i was just about to ask that what gears and how hot was it when you ran? on my 08 quad cab i managed a 14.6 with the stock 20s a quarter tank of gas a superchips 3815 bfi intake and cutout open. I think it would of done a little better if i would of taken off the tailgate and full size spare and let the air down on the back tires but anyways my point is that yours should be around the same time

I have 3.92 gears and it was 68 outside. Fred has an extreme DD.

Highly consider getting your truck a custom tune for the TCM, that makes one hell of a difference with the WOT shifts *** PT shifts, Gears and a stall are great too, have both on mine, problem there is the tires start to really smoke so you have to adjust your launch but they really improve your lowend if your tires can hold it. Next time you go to the track though, close the cutout for one of the runs, you should have more pep down low with it shut.

Mine hauls ass up top but my cam is built for top end power, and I have enough lowend mods that its not a dog down low anymore.

Best thing to do is get a shopping list made, get some parts that will get your lowend (big heavy truck) going strong, then get a few that will support it on the topend.

Not with those mods, a low 15 would be about right.

ATX, you need to come out to RPR in Baytown one weekend, and I will help you get a mid 14 second pass out of your truck. With the converter and headers installed, you should be pushing close to the 13.99 mark. There are alot of tricks you can do to hepl lower your times without adding more power.

Where are you located? DA and elevation plays a huge roll, same with temps, and I have yet you see two of the exact same model, year and modded trucks run the same time our trap speed. They can differ by a lot.

I would think the weather was perfect. 68 and not terribly humid. The track prep is not so great. I would love to go to Baytown but my wife doesn't get home til 6 and its a little over a 3 our drive. Do they do test and tune on sat?

You missed the point. Weather temp is only part of it. You could take every mod out of my truck and put it into another 05 rcsb and have the same person driving and id bet the truck that the times would be a half a second off one way or the other. These trucks are very temperamental to what they do and don't like and just because yours ran one time, does not have any indication on what his should with the same things. It just doesn't work that way.

As I said it's a low 15sec truck, would expect out to go any lower until the headers are put on. As it sits, he may squeak out a 14.99 but everything should be right around the 15.0-15.1 mark.
