I have been doing copious amount of research and searching, youtube watching...I have a 5.9 magnum with 46re in a 1998 dodge ram 1500 laramie. I change transmission fluid and filter twice to get a nice flush of the system as i had previously adjust the front and rear bands. I did a complete tune up on engine cap, rotor button, plugs and wires spark plugs got rid of the misfire i was getting. I develop this clatter then it sound like a rod was going to blow thru the engine. I have not driven for 2 weeks, went to start it up and the noise went away - not mentioned was that sound would occur cold or hot. I think my torque converter went to some torque graveyard as i really can't go very fast take a good amount of rpms to keep it at 20 mph? Any thoughts?
