A few days ago I noticed I somehow scratched my door panel (it had whitish scratch but i thought it was something whitish on it) and tried to clean it with soap and water to no avail.
So last night after reading a post about using a mild abrasive i tried some McGuirs I had on hand for scratches (thinking the colour was solid through the plastic). Mistake. Now I have a whitish rub mark on it.
Thoughts and questions:
Use touch up paint on a rag or paper towel? Just a very little bit dabbed on? I think a brush would be too aggressive and i dont want to rub it anymore trying to remove excess.
Are the door panels where darker actually a black? They don't look black to me when the door is open. More like a really dark grey?
Leading to thoughts on paint color to match best?
All thoughts tips appreciated.
