Hey all, new here to the forum and new dodge owner. Currently have a 2011 2500 with the 5.7 hemi 4x4. I currently have cold air intake, magnaflow exhaust, airbags, bully dog gt tuner, and just installed a A/C cooler.

Looking to do anything else that can help with towing and just overall performance. I also want to add I have a 4" lift with 37's. So that does affect my mpg, but I'm not worried too much about that.

Any other suggestions for better towing and performance? Thanks all.

Depends on what you are towing, the weight of what you are towing and how what you are towing will be hooked up to your truck. 5th wheel, bumper pull? How long and heavy? You say you want to put 37's on it. How big of a wheel, what kind of tire? Have you done any suspension upgrades?

Too many questions for very little information given.

I'm sorry, I guess I worded it wrong, I currently have 37's with a 4" lift.

But to add, yes I have a 24' bumper pull trailer. It weighs only 5000lbs. I live in Oregon and have a lot of large mountain passes to pull through. I do want to upgrade my trailer some day and get a bigger one. Possibly up to a 35' which would probably be closer to 7000lbs.

I'd say gear up that truck. I'm not a fan of Bully Dog tuning but if you didn't already have a tuner, I'd suggest a Diablosport programmer with a custom tune.

Welcome to the forum and good luck with the mods.

Thanks everyone, really appreciate the info. I honestly dont really like my gt tuner. Dont feel like it's very user friendly and honestly dont think it does much of anything. I'll look into that other one.

As far as the gears, sounds like I should do some research on the 5.13 because of my tire size. Any suggestions on where to start? Should I just have a mechanic take care of that for me. I am capable of most work on my truck but this sounds like it would be above my level. Thanks

Unless you have experience and a spare vehicle and money to do it over if you don't set it up correctly, let a qualified gear shop do it.

If you don't have the gear backlash and bearing preload set correctly you'll have a noise rear at best...and burn it up at worst. Budget around 1500 per axle.

With those 37s and a 5.7 I'd be looking at 4.88 or 5.13s.

With my stock tires (about 34") if I ever do it I'm going 4.40 or 4.56s...3.73 to 4.10 is not enough of a difference.....imo...good luck

go to a driveline shop that probably does 3 a day not some dealer or worse that does 3 a year. Otherwise do it yourself and learn as you go.

Bumper pull camper? assuming 37's and 4 inch lift makes pin height a ***** on a 5er. Kind of working the different ends of the spectrum as anything in support of fitting 37's (except gears) seldom makes a good tow rig.

It actually pulls my trailer very well. It's only 4200lbs dry. I also have a anti sway, so I hardly notice it behind me. I'm just looking at doing things to my truck to improve it overall. I tow probably 20 times a year and I want my truck to last.

Thanks for everyone's input so far.
