Seems how I'm not that familiar with the "black edition" we're gonna need to know auto or manual tranny, and rear end gear ratios

the ram site says for the black edition 10,350 lbs. But some sites say different. I will check the gear ratio when i get home.

thinking about installing some timbrens in the rear as well. 25 minute installation basically.

I'd go with Airlift 1000 long before Timbrens. I hated the ride with Timbrens on a relatives truck. Everyone here raves about the Airlift. I'm planing in getting a set myself this year. They're cheap too!

I am going to say no as they are just an airbag inside your coils. If there is an issue, you can just pull them out and the dealership will not be the wiser. Takes 20-45min to install depending on skill level.

I did timbrens first and it was a ****** ride. I did the airlifts and the ride is better. I still bottom out a little but I have a golf cart in the bed while pulling the camper. A 3.92 rear end they say can tow 10500lbs I think.

You will be over your payload way before you will get to you towing capability, meaning if your payload is 1,100 lbs you will have to account tongue weight, people, fuel and what stuff you have in the truck, it will take away. I know that we look at that 10,000 lbs towing capability and forget to look at the payload first, so whatever your payload is you take away your tongue weight and see what you have left.

Yeah, the 3.92 will get you in the 10,000 lbs range but you still have to look at your payload and how much the trailer is gross, tongue weight and go from there and since you have a crew cab it will take from your payload. Do you know your payload?

just spent some time looking at the air lift 1000. Looks simple to install. and remove if needed. Might grab a kit.. cant beat it for the price.

Squeeze all the air out and put a couple zip ties around them folded like a hot dog bun. Jack the truck up via the frame and drop them in the coils. I think they're some YouTube videos out as well

Yes you can. Jack up the frame. I put the jack at the wrong spot and it was a SOB to do 1 side until I figured it out. It's gonna be a little tight but it can be done

About the biggest problem you will run into is where to put the lines but it's easy to figure that out.
