Towing Mirror question/problems

I have a 2014 ram 1500 express hemi quad cab and a few months ago purchased some aftermarket towing mirrors. Apparently they are the wrong ones without temperature sensors in them...Im reading -40 for outside temperature and is throwing U110E code. Im guessing the only way to fix this would be to order new mirrors with sensors? Does anyone have a link to anywhere that sells the aftermarket mirrors with temp sensors in them? Or do I have to shell out $800 at the dealer?

Thanks I found them on there but they have the puddle lamps and turn signals. Will these features work if my truck didn't originally come with them? Will that throw off any codes?

it wont throw codes but the dealer may have to reprogram it..otherwise the lights won't work is all. there is a thread here, a member did it successfully and even posted the the flash codes that the dealer used to make the puddle lights work.

msg tony @ 1a auto and see if he can find you some mirrors without the lights.

I've got factory tow mirrors had to get codes flashed for the turn and puddle lights to work. Otherwise they work fine

Just ordered the correct tow mirrors from 1a auto. What do I have to tell the dealer when I go just that I need my mirrors flashed and they will know what I'm talking about? Do they usually charge for this?

They should know just tell yhen you want the turn signals to work. They should charge around a hour shop rate to flash the sales codes in. A hour shop rate can be $75 to $150 just depends on your dealer I would expect 100-120.

Thanks for all the help guys. The new correct mirrors arrived today and are installed. No more check engine light and the temperature displays correctly now. Going to the dealer on wednesday to have the codes flashed for the turn signals and puddle lamps to work.

I have been wanting a set of those myself. I want them even more after seen those pics. I think I may hold off though since I am planning to trade in on a 15 model or leftover 14 since I am really want to go back to a crew or even a quad cab and with my luck I will find the one that already has the tow mirrors. They aren't common on express trucks around here but when I got my 14 I almost got one that had the mirrors but it was missing a few other options that were more important at the time.

Sitting here at the dealer trying to get the codes flashed. The tech just came in telling me he can't get the turn signals or courtesy lights to work. Any input?

As for the codes, from what I understand from reading a the threads here on these mirrors, you need to have the dealer attached the codes to your VIN, and then have them reflash the ECU. That should get them working.

The codes are LEB and LEC, (turn signal and puddle light respectively)
